Tulsi Gabbard Excluded from the 3rd Democratic Debate | QT Politics
The 3rd Democratic Debate is set to take place on September 12, 2019 in Houston, Texas, hosted by ABC and Univision. This will be the first time all of the qualifying candidates will face off on a single night, as just ten have made the cut:
Former VP Joe Biden
Senator Bernie Sanders
Senator Elizabeth Warren
Senator Kamala Harris
Mayor Pete Puttigieg
Entrepreneur Andrew Yang
Senator Cory Booker
Former Representative Beto O’Rourke
Former HUD Secretary Julian Castro
And, Senator Amy Klobuchar
The most conspicuous absence from this list is Tulsi Gabbard, the peace-focused progressive candidate from Hawaii, who is currently polling above both Castro and Klobuchar in the current RCP Polls aggregations, and who was the most-Googled candidate on the nights of both of her previous debate performances—the only candidate in the field to have that distinction.
Tom Steyer, who has been running a last-minute self-funded campaign, and Marriane Williamson, the progressive self-help Guru, have also been cut for not meeting the polling thresholds, despite securing the necessary number of donors.
But the real question on everyone’s mind seems to be:
Where is Tulsi Gabbard?
