[ About Us ]
We are Hebard’s Travels, we travel the country fulltime in our RV. We have a 2016 Cedar Creek 36CKTS which fits our two large dogs, Bullet and Kimber, and our cat Socks. We downsized our lives from 3000sqft house to 350sqft home on wheels. We enjoy a more minimalist lifestyle and focus on experiences rather then stuff.
John is a 3x War Veteran, he has always been interested in finding ways to help veterans cope with PTSD and feel better living in the country they fight so hard for. He loves being able to share the things that have helped him deal with issues of coming home. Traveling and living this lifestyle has been a complete blessing in his ability to adjust to a healthy living. If you think this could help another veteran, please share it with them.

For this video, we went to experience the Houston Museum of Natural Science. It had been about 20 years since Laura had seen the museum and it has grown to be a very large museum in Houston. This was one of the things we really wanted to see while we were stopped in Houston for a few weeks. They had a large model train exhibit in the main hall, the permanent exhibits had dinosaur skeletons, fossils, and showed some of the evolution of dinosaurs leading up to the extinction event.
The Cockrell Butterfly Center is filled with tropical plants to support the over 60 butterfly species at the exhibit. The dome is a humid tropical walk through climate that allows you to walk with the butterflies on a guided path. The staff maintains their food disks, and makes sure they are well taken care of. There is a large fountain in the middle of the dome creating a serene environment for them as well.
