Aren't invited to THE club or chamber or lodge?

Start Your Own Chamber

Our local Houston chamber (one called Greater Houston Partnership) is a great source for about 10,000 highly active volunteers. But, it is hard to get involved and even harder to get a place of usefulness. The morning meetings downtown also necessitate commuting over an hour one way which is one reason why I started working for myself and I don't want to go back to that.
