I’m back to discover new places around Houston! I always feel excited to explore H-Town because there’s just so many things to do, eat, and see around the city. Today, I am going to take you along Bellaire Boulevard, right in the heart of Chinatown.
Over the weekend, Edward and I decided to try 5 dessert shops here in Houston. I have to warn you, it’s going to be a mouthwatering experience! Are you guys ready? Here we go!
1. CANE ISLAND
Where:
Website:
Cane Island is inside Hong Kong Market along Bellaire Boulevard. I found this place that dishes out flavoured waffles along with specialty sugarcane drinks and milk tea.
2. BAE
Where: 9798 Bellaire Blvd, Houston, TX 77036
Website: 9798 Bellaire Blvd, Houston, TX 77036
Bae is cute and very Instagram-worthy place along Bellaire Boulevard (Chinatown) that makes delicious soft-serve ice cream or frozen yogurt.
3. NU CAFE
Where: 9889 Bellaire Blvd #112a, Houston, TX 77036
Website: 9889 Bellaire Blvd #112a, Houston, TX 77036
Nu Cafe is a dessert bar that serves amazing shaved ice, which apparently takes them 10 hours to prepare. Take note: All their products are 100% natural!
4. POPFANCY DESSERT BAR
Where: In front of Apple Store, 5085 Westheimer Rd 2nd Floor, Houston, TX 77056
Website: http://www.popfancypops.com
The shop is famous for its ice pops, but we wanted to try their waffles. No regrets at all! Their waffles did not disappoint!
5. YUMCHA
Where: The shop is famous for its ice pops, but we wanted to try their waffles.
Yumcha in Cantonese Chinese means “drink tea” which involves eating dimsum dishes. Check out two of their famous and very delicious drinks!
Bonus Treat: 85 DEGREES BAKERY
Where: 9750 Bellaire Blvd Suite 168, Houston, TX 77036
One of my go-to places when it comes to buying delicious Portuguese Egg Tarts. Great ambience and amazing staff to boot!
FYI: I also wrote an article about this. Check out www.mypurplepages.com
Thanks for stopping by! xo
