Is your head cut off on your profile picture?

A profile picture is VERY important to your success on InHouston and LinkedIn and Facebook and Twitter. But, if your head is cut off, not worth much is it?

There are two solutions. Both involve editing the image. You can use Windows Paint or Draw, or you can download picasa.google.com for free or you can find and download GIMP which is the best but hardest option.

I recommend getting picasa.google.com and using it to edit your pictures. It does a great job and is fairly simple.

Once you have that installed, open the picture in question in picasa. Now crop your face so that the cropped area is exactly square.

The problem is that in say inhouston.ning.com and elsewhere your picture isn't square so the software is chopping off the top of it arbitrarily. So, but cropping your image into a square you help the ning site display it correctly.

Hope that Helps!!

Good advise! I already tried MS paint to adjust my picture and did not work very well but that's ok when I get a chance I will follow Lea-Ann Gee's suggestion or your suggestion to use another editing tool. At least I have a picture, don't you think?.

www.picnik.com is another free photo editing tool. It's not necessary to download this software.

Friend, Now that we have a Republican majority on the national and state levels, we are doing nothing but fueling the fire of the Democrats with every piece of legislation we pass and every word that our Republican representatives say. That is why it is more important than ever that we remain mobilized and fight to protect what makes Texas special: our Republican stronghold.
