Free Services for OEF/OIF Military Personnel (Active, Retired, Guard, Reserve) and their Families

The non-profit organization I work for, Worklife Institute, has a grant from the San Antonio Area Foundation TRIAD (Texas Resources for Iraq/Afghanistan Deployment) Fund to provide services, free of charge, for military personnel who have served in Iraq or Afghanistan, post-9/11, and for their families.

The free services are:

Career Transition - career direction and education counseling, creating resumes, researching companies which are hiring, interviewing, evaluating and accepting offers, getting a good start with a new job.

Family and Personal Transition Counseling - individual and marriage and family counseling, parenting education, family and divorce mediation

Legal and Financial Consultation - Attorney available for consults and discounted legal services, civil and family matters; financial/debt counseling

Work Orientation and Resources - adapting to new workplaces, safety and health on the job, apprenticeship programs and more

Workshops - conflict resolution, preparing resumes and job search, parenting, financial planning, etc.

Elizabeth

I am speaking at the Second Baptist "Career Connections" program tonight in two sessions (7:00Pm & 8:00PM) in the Woodway Village area.

Please invite any to attend (church membership is not required) and hear of some "netweaving" techniques and opportunities.
