“The Future of Media in an Interconnected Digitized World”
$50 non-members • $30 Members
Panelist: Stephen Vowell
Steven Vowell, Chief Executive Officer, The Mesh Network Steve has a startlingly creative mind, often looking past traditional industry solutions to what lies beneath. Possessing many years experience with computers and national security infrastructure network systems, Mr. Vowell has remarkable insight into the basic architecture underlying current operating systems and network communications protocols.
In 2001, Stephen became an IT Security Engineer and Analyst for NASA. He was an intricate part of NASA programs for developing security protection and handling security incidents. Stephen was also part of the international network interface control support team for NASA. Due to his wide spectrum of knowledge, he was chosen to be the lead security analyst assigned to the Security Analyst Response Team "SART" for the International Space Station Program.
In case you’re wondering what any of this has to do with The Future of Media, here’s what Stephen has to say about that: "All media everywhere is changing. As a software designer, developer and inventor, I help create what later becomes trends through an industry. I see those trends at their earliest stages, and I can tell you that the world of communications, entertainment and 'broadcasting' will never be the same in a very short while. In fact, that revolution has already begun.” Come see Stephen on August 18.
