New Honors Grad In Need of a Position

Greetings All,
My twin daughters graduated from UTD with Honors on May 16th. One of the girls needs to get a job somewhere in the $15-$16 per hour range to earn tuition for law school, which she plans to enter in the fall of 2010. She's sharp and very trainable, with a great work ethic. If you or anyone you know could use such talent, please contact me. Thanks!

I learned about the science of networking

Their are people out there acting as hubs of mass communication. They link small tight knit groups to other groups of same formation, but different qualities. These people make it possible for the average individual to be connected, to be open to new opportunities, and position themselves to be a hub for others. This has become a real science with mathematical formulas to use in understanding the process of networking.

The Last Mile Solution - It Tastes Good

If you have ever had the pleasure of dining at a fine restaurant like the Palm or McCormick and Schmick’s, you may have wondered how they have such fresh seafood delivered that day for their special entrees of the evening. Now there are certainly many local food distribution companies, but I’m talking about the freshest lobsters, off the farm tomatoes and even beef. These restaurants have discovered the speed and effectiveness of using what is called the Last Mile Delivery option. Simply put,… Continue

I NEED A VACATION

I need a vacation! Sometimes we all need to get away. If that’s how you feel, I’m here to help. To help promote some upcoming InHouston events, I have several “Vacation Certificates” I will be giving away to any one who asks for one, at these events. I would call them mini-Vacation certificates since they’re good for 3 days and 2 nights but they say “Vacation Certificate” on the front, so that’s what we’ll call them.

Let me say this now, “There Are NO Timeshare Presentations… Continue

A Priest, A Nurse and a Mechanical Engineer...

guillotine-cartoon

A priest, a nurse and a mechanical engineer were in some foreign country and about to be executed for some political infraction. They were to be executed by guillotine. They drew straws and the priest was to go first. He was asked, "Do you want to be executed face up or face down?" The priest replied, "Face up." He was put in position and the lever was pulled and the blade came crashing down, only to stop just inches from his… Continue

Saul Valentin leads NHPO with fast growth

Houston- It was the drive and the energy of the group of professionals that first attracted his notice. A dynamic mix of individuals from a variety of backgrounds, united by the mission of helping each other and other Hispanics advance their personal and professional development. This was Saul Valentin’s impression when he attended his first National Hispanic Professional Organization (NHPO) board meeting in 2003. Little did he know that… Continue
