Welcome to Home Financing 101. I get calls from friends, family and referrals with all types of questions and “what if” scenarios when they are in the process of buying a property or are thinking of buying something “way” down the line. A lot of these questions are the results of a conversation they had with a friend that bought a house, years ago, and is trying to give some advice and warning that might confuse everyone. I’ve taken these scenarios and created Home Financing 101. I hope…Continue

It’s child’s play really. The nice bright colors that pop up when you open your Iphone.
Same as the ones on the front web page at Hasbro toys. And gee it’s fun to Google! Not a coincidence,…

The USO at Hobby & Bush Intercontinental airports is looking for volunteers for the military that pass through those facilities.
If your heart is on giving back to the military via the USO, go to www.usovolunteer.org to learn more.

So I thought about not posting this, because it will help my competitor if he reads it, but I wanted to benefit others.
There I was, at a Chamber of Commerce event, when he and I ended up talking to the same person. He asked the other person how their business was doing; and the person, innocently enough, said "some good, some not so good." And I saw the light go off in my competitors eyes. Out came the pain exposing question: "So what are you doing to fix the not-so-good…Continue
When I think about expertise in a field, one of my passions is to become an “expert” at servant leadership. I first came across the principle of servant leadership when I joined BNI where I learned that that givers gain. Later, when I joined InHouston I was excited to be part of an organization where the organization’s leaders exemplify servant leadership in the Greater Houston area. Servant leadership is not a foreign subject to me, as I believe the ultimate servant leader is Jesus…Continue
I love being creative while cooking. My poor friends and family have had to endure trying my different but creative dishes and they still love me. Recently, I've tried to change my eating habits to include more fiber, less calories but still tasty. As a result I came up with the recipes below. No name yet so suggestions are welcome. Let me know what you think.
1 Tilapia filet (or Salmon)
1 C. wheat germ
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. onion…Continue

I know what they are going to say before they even tell me what they came to do. They are here for cheap gold (Au). It is clear. The way they walk, the way they protect their bags, the way they cling to each other, they stay in the same hotels, and the look on their faces, uncertainty. You can overhear the…Continue

$350 United States Dollars and she died. I can’t stop thinking about her. I can still see how she was and where she was the last time I saw her alive. She was lying on the floor with her sister-in-law. I stood above her as Melvin introduced us. Melvin is her brother and is also like a young brother to me. Melvin and I mine gold together. There were two infants lying between her and her sister-in-law. I can still see the blankets beneath them. They lay there as though the hardness…Continue
