If it's broken, even a little bit broke, do fix it.

Whoever originally said “a stitch in time saves nine” got it right on. (It sounds like something Ben Franklin wrote in his “Poor Richards Almanac” but I’m not going to take the time to google it right now.) A lot of the pressure washers & paint sprayers that are brought to us for repair would cost their owners a lot less to repair if they had brought them much sooner. Brilliant Facebook Campaign

IKEA opened a new store and got very creative with use of the photo-tagging feature on facebook. They were giving away IKEA stuff so the word spread like wildfire and got the attention of a lot of people in the community. Pretty neat.

As part of my business, I have been visiting vendors at several of the local Farmer's markets. The Bayou City Market, open Saturdays AM from 8 - 12 off Richmond, is a fantastic market with a wide diversity of products grown or made by people in or around Houston. There is another market open Tuesday Evenings, near the Rice U athletic facilities, where you will find many of the same vendors and others.
