Job Opportunity: Field Servide Technician - Houston, TX

technology, is seeking a Field Service Technician for our Houston, Texas location. The Field Service Technician
is a member of the Customer Support Department and is responsible for the installation, maintenance, trouble shooting and repair of Makino machinery at customer locations.

This role is responsible for:

  • Installing / training and providing technical knowledge and troubleshooting on team product line at the customer’s facility
  • Providing a communication link between the customer and Makino
  • Creating and developing procedural documentation
  • Using and understanding the Customer Support computer system
  • Supporting the Product Specialist on a rotational basis
  • Supporting the Knowledge Products Team as a Subject Matter Expert
  • Occasional participation outside of the team product line

Qualified candidates should present a professional image, be a team player and a self-starter, and have:

  • 2 Year Technical degree (Electrical/Automation)
    and 1 year of experience in a related field is desired, or similar experience
  • Experience in a co-op, internship or
    full/part-time job in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of a specialized field such as machine
    tool manufacture, installation, operation, maintenance and repair, and a broad
    shop background equivalent to a complete, accredited apprenticeship training
  • Excellent communication and customer relation
    skills
  • Technical knowledge and logical troubleshooting
    across team product line
  • Rational decision making ability
  • Project leadership skills
  • Willingness to travel weekly
